VR castles museum

The project was about designing and developing VR museum application to bring museum education to schools.
I was the lead of technical requirements and VR environment creation group.

The theme of the museum exhibition is castles across the world. There are 15 castles inside the museum.
The castle models are 3D scans of real life castles, by a person that goes by the pseudonym 33333DDDDDDDDD (https://www.fab.com/sellers/33333DDDDDDDDD).

The museum layout was designed as a long hallway so the users can see how many castle models are in the museum and so they could also move from castle exhibition to castle exhibition conveniently.

DORFic style was the inspiration for the design of the museum's environment. The goal was to create a spacious minimalist-futuristic environment so that the museum visitor would feel comfortable and cozy, which is why the main colors are white and orange. Big windows were added so the lighting inside the museum would be from a natural light source. Additionally, light projectors were added to the top of the ceiling so it could shine a light on castle models, especially in those areas where natural light doesn’t reach. There’s also a visible natural environment outside the museum, small islands with palm trees, and they exist so users can take a break from viewing the exhibition, and the natural environment also makes the entire environment feel less artificial.
